- For implementing
a Drug Court for both adults and adolescents in East and West
Hawaii to help our island community;
- for doing his
job from both the bench and in the community;
- for always looking
for answers when everyone was troubled by the questions, for
believing that people can and do change with help and support;
- for being a local
boy who stayed home and made a difference;
- and, for believing
that, in the criminal justice system, there is room for innovation
and services beyond jail and probation.
